44 The College of New Jersey Magazine Larry Abrams MAT '95 created BookSmiles Book Bank, an organization based in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, that gives away books free to educators. As a teacher, Abrams spent a lot of money on books for his classroom library and was inspired to help other teachers have access to free books. Brian Hogan '96 delivered the annual Last Lecture at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Hogan is a UNC biochemist and director of the Carolina Covenant and the Achieve Scholars Program. Mercer County (New Jersey) Association of School Administrators named David Aderhold '97 2019 Mercer County Superintendent of the Year in June. Aderhold is the chief school administrator of West Windsor–Plainsboro School District. John Donio '97 received the Sons of Italy Foundation Humanitarian Award at the 31st annual National Education and Leadership Awards Gala. Danny Robertozzi '97 is superintendent of Clifton (New Jersey) School District. He previously served as superintendent of Linden public schools. '00s and '10s Kyle Lake '00 won an Emmy Award as executive producer of the television series Downstream, which airs on the PBS affiliate KET in Kentucky. Featured stories included mint julep history, some crazy grains for making bourbon, a historic walking tour, and a visit to the spring source for the Barton Distillery. Morgan Baden '01 published The Hive, a young adult novel about cyberbullying. The novel is based on a story proposal from actress Jennifer Beals of Flashdance fame. Heather Cruz '01 serves on the Executive Council of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority as a national vice president. This role follows 18 years as a national volunteer. Josee Rose '02 is elections editor for The Wall Street Journal. Todd Bonsall '03 is superintendent of the Hunterdon County (New Jersey) Vocational School District. Chris Donnelly '03 published his third book, Doc, Donnie, The Kid, and Billy Brawl: How the 1985 Mets and Yankees Fought for New York's Baseball Soul. The book details the 1985 seasons of the Mets and Yankees. The hardcover and audiobook earned the top CLASS N O T E S W I N T E R 2 0 1 8 CLASS N O T E S F A L L 2 0 1 9 spot for new releases in mid-Atlantic U.S. biographies on Amazon. Amy Jablonski '05 is principal of Spotswood (New Jersey) High School after serving as assistant principal at Holmdel High School since 2017. Angela Oguntala '07, the director at Grey- space, recently led a TED Talk titled "How Do We Achieve the Future We Imagine?" Oguntala is a Salzburg Global Fellow and was named a Future Innovator by the United Nations Information and Communications Technologies Task Force. Patient Preferred Physicians and Practitioners named Nihar Gala '08 a patient-preferred physician representing Delaware for 2019. Alanna Jamieson '08 is assistant director of communications with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities. Jamieson is responsible for spreading the word about Governor Phil Murphy's environmental agenda and clean energy initiatives, including solar, offshore wind, and energy efficiency. Matt Dalessio '09 was named head football coach at Ewing High School. Stephen A. Lombardi '09 works at Facebook Reality Labs as a researcher for realistic facial animation. Elizabeth Chung '11 joined Capehart Scatchard law firm as an associate. Angela Cleveland '11 released her latest publication, 50 Tech Tools for School Counselors: How to Be More Engaging, Efficient, and Effective. The Cape May Youth Waves Swim Team appointed Tom Medvecky '11 as head coach for the upcoming season. Nadine Hamilton '12 departed for a two-year service for the U.S. Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic. Mark Maccaroni '12 is fitness manager at Laurel Circle in Bridgewater, New Jersey. He oversees physical training and exercise programs for the senior living community's 200 residents. Janika Berridge '13 won a Fulbright to work as an English teaching assistant at a secondary school in East Kalimantan, Indonesia. Jamie Primeau '13 is the celebrity and entertainment news editor at Bustle.
