Here, a few examples: S a B B a T i c a l S u p p o R T Associate professor of physics nathan Magee will spend the 2014–15 academic year studying how tiny ice crystals that form in high altitude cirrus clouds might affect our understanding of climate change. Magee's research is sure to reach new heights thanks to the Gitenstein-Hart Sabbatical prize, a $100,000 gift from tCnJ president R. Barbara Gitenstein and her husband, Dr. Donald B. Hart, pictured at right. is prize is intended to fund faculty scholarship through a full-year sabbatical, supplementing the reduced salary a tenured faculty member would normally receive while taking this time to further their research. As the endowment for the Gitenstein-Hart Sabbatical prize grows, so will its capacity to support more faculty members who decide to take a full year of sabbatical leave. Said president Gitenstein, "time to immerse in research, scholarship, or creative activity benefits the faculty member, and the results benefit our students and enhance the reputation of tCnJ."
