43 Class Notes FALL 2025 Barbara Petrzilka '87 retired from her job as a contract specialist for the federal government. She had served for 36 years. Robert Cavalier '89 is the founder and managing director of Lucas and Cavalier, a law firm with offices in Philadelphia and Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, and in Haddon Heights, New Jersey. Cavalier was recently named the 74th president of the Union League in Philadelphia. Brian Vaughn '89 retired after 25 years with Johnson & Johnson MedTech. He was vice president of global health economics and market access. '90s Kristine Peterson '90 is director of maternal-child health at Atlantic Health Systems. Monica McLemore '93 won the 2025 National Black Nurses Association Trailblazer Award. This award goes to individuals whose leadership transforms their community and state. Lori Alhadeff '97 led Broward County (Florida) Public Schools to enact a policy that every teacher and staff member will have a wearable panic button as an additional level of safety on the district's school campuses. Alhadeff started the nonprofit Make Our Schools Safe after her daughter Alyssa was killed in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in 2018. Denise Furlong '97 co-authored Learners First: Purpose and Practicality in Your Early Years of Teaching, a book for new teachers. Furlong was also a featured speaker at the 2025 International Conference on Future Education, which took place in Bali, Indonesia. Mark '02 and Laura '03 Ackermann, Dana Hopkins McGee '03, and Julie '03 and Matthew '04 Szustowicz reunited through their sons, who all play for the Freehold Township (New Jersey) Little League Baseball program. Their sons, Tommy Ackerman, Jack McGee, and James Szustowicz, won the Eastern Region Intermediate Little League tournament and represented the East in the 2025 Intermediate Little League World Series in Livermore, California. '00s Lynn DeClemente-Losavio '02 is chief legacy officer at The Seward Johnson Atelier. Losavio leads initiatives to preserve and promote the artistic and philanthropic legacy of sculptor Seward Johnson. A significant milestone in her tenure was a generous gift to Grounds For Sculpture, which enabled GFS to assume management of the Johnson Atelier's production facility operations to form a single, synergistic institution. Tyshawn Jenkins '04, a TCNJ Alumni Association board member, is public affairs officer at the 177th Fighter Wing, New Jersey Air National Guard. Jenkins is responsible for shaping the narrative of the mission, fostering transparency, and ensuring stories are told with accuracy and honor. In a deployed environment, he serves as the key liaison between the military and the public, including U.S. and allied media, host nation stakeholders, and global audiences. Shari-Ann Harris Sasu '05 was certified as a criminal trial attorney for Cumberland County, New Jersey, through the New Jersey Supreme Court. Sasu is the only Black and female attorney with this designation. Joseph Donatiello '06 is a public defender of the Municipal Shared Court of Riverdale and Butler (New Jersey) Boroughs. His wife, Tara Donatiello '06, is a registered play therapist through the Association for Play Therapy. Love starts at TCNJ 1. Edward Dudek '22 proposed to Elizabeth Parisi '22 on May 31, 2025, in front of the R. Barbara Gitenstein Library. The couple met their freshman year and often hung out together on the second floor of the library. They are grateful TCNJ brought them together and look forward to getting married in July 2026. 2.
