MICHAEL YANUCIL
Assistant controller, Pflaumer Brothers
An adoptee herself,
Lockwood-Maldonado
is alarmed that children
who are adopted are at a
higher risk for anxiety
and depression. She
sees games and play as a
way to help children
deal with trauma. She'll
work at the Center for
Counseling and
Education, a private
practice in Marlton,
New Jersey, while she
earns her PhD.
ARIANNA McCLEOD

On New Jersey Sports set up
this student-athlete for her
next big game as a grant writer.
In January, Yanucil
was promoted from
intern to full-time
employee at the
chemical manufacturer
Pflaumer Brothers. So,
he dashed from work to
class and back. (His
photo here exists solely
because he squeezed the
shoot into his lunch
break.) "I don't always
follow the expected
route, but I move with
intention, and it's paid
off," he says.
