BICOASTAL CONNECTIONS It was such a delight to see a letter to the editor (fall 2022) from a 1967 TCNJ graduate commenting on my daughter, Chase Eisenberg '24, and her ukulele playing (How I Got Here, spring 2022). The reader, who lived in Hawaii, said that she had learned to play the same instrument while at Trenton State. Imagine an alumna of 55 years and 6,000 miles away still being connected enough to see a commonality and then take the time to comment on it! Truly a testament to the exceptional community that is TCNJ. HOLLAND EISENBERG, TCNJ PARENT " YOU KNOW, I THOUGHT IT WAS PRETTY BADASS THAT @UW HAD WOMEN AS LEADERS BUT DAYUM @TCNJ COME THRU WITH ALL ACADEMIC DEANS BEING WOMEN. " — Monica McLemore '93, professor, Department of Child, Family, and Population Health Nursing at the University of Washington " THIS YEAR, FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, EVERY ACADEMIC DEAN AT MY ALMA MATER, @TCNJ, IS A WOMAN. GO LADIES! " — Melissa Amour '94 PETER MURPHY HOW POETIC Congratulations on putting together a terrific magazine. Each issue features interesting, fun, helpful information and demonstrates the highest level of journalistic and design professionalism. The story about Grace Cavalieri ("Amazing Grace," spring 2021) was particularly significant to me, as her mentor, Herman Ward, was also a professor of mine and presented me with the poetry prize given in his name.
