9 Prairie FALL 2022 Homegrown There are 140 species of honeysuckles spread across the globe and 17 native to the United States. Haley Wright '23 put her IMM and graphic design skills together to create a tourist-type map (above) to show where some of those honeysuckles live and how they differ from each other. Above: Place your camera over the AR codes to understand how honeysuckles differ from coast to coast. 3D please One of the original biology students on the project, Linda Zhang '19, created botanical illustrations of various honeysuckles to show the plant's structure. Since it can be difficult for an untrained eye to envision what the plant would look like in the natural world, TCNJ students developed the artistic models and wrote computer code to allow visitors to see each plant in three dimensions using augmented reality. Right: To see what honeysuckles look like in 3D, place your camera over each of the AR codes.
