Plants with personalities
One of the goals of the exhibit is to give viewers the opportunity to see plants
from alternative lenses. The group decided that attaching personalities to various
species could be a fun way to exaggerate their differences. "I was asked to
design these characters with the plant's biology and anatomy in mind,"
says Jamil Marshall '22. "I thought about how they grew, what made them
look the way they do, and how they interact with their environment."
His creativity shines through as long, tubed flowers become a hat and
a ballerina's tutu emphasizes the fused leaf on a flowing flower.
