e College of New Jersey ANNUAL REPORT 2018–2019
A Helping Hand
The Student Emergency Fund, also known as Lions Lifting Lions, supports TCNJ students
who are unable to meet essential expenses due to a temporary or unexpected hardship.
Thanks to continual contributions from the TCNJ community, the fund is now more than
$25,000 and last year helped students with temporary housing, transportation, medical and
mental health services, meals, and even loaner laptops.

Equipped to Win
TCNJ's student-athlete experience received
some major upgrades this year. Installed in
summer 2019, Lions Stadium's new FieldTurf
Core system keeps the field 30 percent cooler
than a regular rubber system — useful during
the dog days of August's preseason camps. The
tennis court makeover sealed imperfections,
added temperature-control fabric to prevent
weather-related damage, and new paint —
with a purpose. The blue inbounds court
provides the most contrast with a tennis ball,
helpful for players and spectators alike.
