Kristen Vogt '19 2018 Priscilla Carney Jones Scholarship from the American Chemical Society National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Joseph Baker Assistant professor of chemistry Ahmed Mahmoud '19 National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Gary Dickinson Associate professor of biology Aaron Lee '20 Goldwater Scholarship Wendy Clement Associate professor of biology Avi Shah '21 Goldwater Scholarship Sudhir Nayak Professor of biology Outstanding Outcomes Terance Schuh '19, a double major in physics and mathematics, won the 2019 Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Research from the American Institute of Physics' Society of Physics Students. He's currently interning at NASA. Biology major Namal Seneviratne '19 was selected as a 2019 Phi Kappa Phi Fellow. The $8,500 award will help support Seneviratne at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the fall. FACULTY SPOTLIGHT TCNJ mathematics professor Robert Cunningham received a prestigious Fulbright U.S. Scholar Award that will enable him to travel to the Caribbean during his 2019–20 sabbatical to help integrate research-based teaching strategies into the curriculum of local schools. Jeffrey Osborn, dean of TCNJ's School of Science, has been named a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. This is one of the highest honors in his field. The National Organization of Gay and Lesbian Scientists and Technical Professionals recognized TCNJ chemistry professor Benny Chan as 2019 Educator of the Year.
