PROGRAMS OF STUDY P U B L I C H E A LT H M A J O R The Bachelor of Science in Public Health is a vibrant degree program offered by the School of Nursing, Health, and Exercise Science in collaboration with schools and departments across College. This comprehensive, interdisciplinary program allows students to take classes from all seven TCNJ Schools providing a personalized yet rigorous educational experience. Our Public Health Major offers two concentrations: Health Communication and Social and Behavioral Sciences. M P H TCNJ Master of Public Health (MPH) is a 2-year comprehensive, interdisciplinary program, providing students with the knowledge and skills to protect and improve family and community health. Students develop the leadership, critical thinking, and research capabilities to pursue a range of public health career options. Three tracks of concentration include Precision Health, Health Communication, and Global Health. " 4 + 1 " P R O G R A M As part of this program, current undergraduate students take up to 5 graduate level courses in their senior year. After graduation, by taking a class in the summer, 4 classes in both the Fall and Spring semesters, and finishing the Capstone internship the following summer, the MPH can be completed in as little as 14 months. P U B L I C H E A LT H M I NO R The Public Health Minor provides students the opportunity to complete their major with a solid introduction to Public Health. The Minor is appropriate for students from all majors at the College, but specially those considering careers or future study in the health related professions. G R A D UAT E C E RT I F I CAT E The TCNJ Graduate Certificate program provides a broad interdisciplinary overview of Public Health. It is specially designed for working professionals, such as school and community health nurses, students who want a step before going for a Masters of Public Health (MPH) preparing for a graduate school, and for health professionals that would like to develop skills in population health.
