The Music Building hits all the right notes with the Mayo Concert Hall, ensemble suites, and private practice rooms. Students go live in Kendall Hall, equipped with a TV studio and radio station. Its Mainstage Theatre is the boss for campus concerts — just ask Springsteen himself, who played there in 1973. School of the Arts and Communication 2 A large number of communication studies majors showcase their brilliance by presenting scholarly papers at professional conferences. Grads land jobs at cool companies (Amazon, Columbia Records, TIME, MakerBot, Nickelodeon, NJPAC) and great grad schools (NYU, Berklee College of Music, Savannah College of Art and Design). Once here, you'll learn from noted faculty who are members of the American Symphony, Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, and Philadelphia Orchestra, among others. TCNJ's popular Maker Space offers 3D printing, laser cutting, and CNC matching. A burst of unconventional light fixtures recently came into being, and the Maker Space director hopes to build a prosthetic leg for his mother's three-legged lab mix. Kendall Hall features the Don Evans Black Box Theater, a 100-seat setting for the fall musical. It's also home base for communication studies majors, especially those who produce student-run LionsTV or host radio station WTSR from the basement. 2 Public Art The sculptures in this area represent pixels and are a nod to the digital imaging that students study here.
