School of Nursing, Health, and Exercise Science Majors Health and exercise science Nursing Public health Students from local schools come to TCNJ's Human Performance Lab to practice good exercise habits while TCNJ students analyze how they respond to integrative neuromuscular training. The school's Master of Public Health is available as a "4 + 1" option, allowing undergrads in relevant disciplines to earn an advanced degree with just one additional year of study. As one of eight Quality and Safety Education for Nurses Institute (QSEN) Regional Centers in the nation, TCNJ is playing a leadership role in transforming basic education for nurses to include knowledge, skills, and attitudes that emphasize quality and safety in patient care. Students hit the ground running in a variety of fields, including sports medicine, strength and conditioning, and teaching health and physical education at the K–12 level. In 2016, the school opened a $1.2 million state-of-the-art Clinical Simulation Lab, giving nursing students hands-on experience in a supervised setting.
