e College of New Jersey Foundation ANNUAL REPORT 2017–2018 FOUNDATION HIGHLIGHTS STRONG OVERSIGHT Managing the college's $54 million endowment is among the TCNJ Foundation's highest priorities. With the unprecedented success of The Campaign for TCNJ and the 18.19.20 Capstone Campaign, the proper stewardship of these investments is serious business. The foundation leverages the expertise of the members of its finance committee, which is made up of a team of professionals who are longtime leaders in their fields and ardent supporters of TCNJ's mission. That, along with monthly meetings, consistent oversight, and external guidance from an investment team at Merrill Lynch, ensures that the finance committee is diligent in attending to its charge of strategically stewarding the foundation's investments. MEET THE FINANCE COMMITTEE James Thoresen, chair Thoresen is COO and CFO of SESCO Enterprises, a conservative trading and risk management company. He and his wife Kathy '89 also oversee a nonprofit, The Thoresen Foundation for Special Needs Children. James Gater '71, '80 A solutions architect at Dun & Bradstreet in Short Hills, New Jersey, for over 35 years, Gater has remained actively involved with his alma mater for many years, serving on both the foundation and the alumni association boards. Carl R. Gibbs Jr. '93 Gibbs is president and CEO of Sturdivant & Co., overseeing all firm activities, including equity research, trading and institutional sales. Gibbs has more than 20 years of experience in the brokerage business. Timothy Jacoutot '89 As director of SMA operations at BlackRock, Jacoutot manages the day-to-day operations of BlackRock's Separately Managed Account platform consisting of 35,000 accounts and $55 billion in assets under management. Craig Morgenstern, CFA Morgenstern is a private client advisor with Rockwood Wealth Management in New Hope, Pennsylvania. Elaine A. Rocha, Esq. '95 Rocha is COO of AIG Investments in New York City, where she's responsible for improving and managing operational processes, driving overall business and technology strategy, and leading project management across investments. Allen Silk, Esq. A shareholder in the law firm of Stark & Stark, Silk is a long-standing member of the foundation board and a long- time supporter of TCNJ. As past board treasurer and chair of the investment committee, he was responsible for overseeing much of the growth of the college's endowment.
