We asked alumni to share highlight reels from their time in intramural or club sports. They came back
with stories of defections, buddy-bonding, and a healthy obsession with Queen.
We threw in the towel
"In our club field hockey team's season opener, only nine of the needed 11 players showed up. We enlisted a friend who'd never played
before to get us closer to having a full team. In the first quarter on that 100-degree August day, one of our players had an asthma attack; in
the second quarter, a player had to sit out because of dehydration; and in the third quarter, we just gave up! We lost 10–0, but our team got
