A planned gift.
An everlasting
connection.
Education alumna's bequest will create
scholarships for a new generation of teachers.
LOIS WILMOTT McCUE '67, MEd '89 always wanted to be an educator.
"Growing up, while other kids were playing with dolls, I was playing teacher," she says.
She credits TCNJ with launching her 30-year career as a second-grade teacher —
and making her dream a reality.
Now retired, McCue wants to help TCNJ students with similar dreams. Specifically,
she wanted to support education majors who don't qualify for financial aid yet still can't
afford tuition on their own. With help from the planned giving office, she left a gift in her
will to create such a scholarship fund.
"My children will be taken care of, and I'll also be helping students in need,"
says McCue. "We felt this was an important thing to do. You can do it, too."

A scholarship helped me afford college, and I want to help others in the same way.
A bequest lets me do that — without diminishing my children's financial security.
