49 of the Year. Angela is a school counselor at Auten Road Intermediate School in Hillsborough, New Jersey, and the author of several therapeutic books for children. She is co-founder of ReigningIt and an advocate for equity and access to opportunities in technology. Christina Mirisis '11 earned a PhD in Hispanic linguistics from the University of Minnesota last May. She is a visiting assistant professor of Spanish at St. Norbert College (Wisconsin). Bonnie Molina '12 is the Bilingual/ESL/ World Languages supervisor for Perth Amboy (New Jersey) Public Schools. Brandon Pugh '15 has been elected vice president for legislation/resolutions for the New Jersey School Boards Association, which represents the nearly 600 school boards in New Jersey. Chris Suozzo '14 and Michael Chiumento '16 (above) first met at TCNJ and recently returned to campus to take engagement photos in advance of their fall wedding. Michael works at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in corporate audit, and Chris works at CDM Princeton, a pharmaceutical ad agency. David Muller '92 is operations captain at the Ewing Police Department in Mercer County, New Jersey. Pepe Santana '96 and his daughter, Marlowe (above) enjoyed the Colorado Alumni Event in May, which included an up-close look at the Denver Broncos training facility. Addie Daniels-Lane MA '98, MEd '02 was appointed to the Trenton (New Jersey) School Board. '00s and '10s Stephen Cappello '01 is superintendent of schools in the Cinnaminson (New Jersey) Public School District. Jason C. Gavejian '01 received the prestigious Hispanic National Bar Associa- tion's Top Lawyers Under 40 Award. The award honors accomplished lawyers who have demonstrated professional excellence, integrity, leadership, commitment to the Hispanic community, and dedication to improving the legal profession. Joseph Whitney '01 has been elected partner by Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP in Florham Park, New Jersey. A member of the firm's real estate group, he practices commercial real-estate transactions, including leasing, acquisitions, and joint venture transactions. Brett Bersano '02 presented the results of his dissertation — exploration of the relationship between educational placement and self-concept of students who are deaf or hard of hearing — at the 2017 National Association of School Psychologists' annual convention in San Antonio, Texas. He earned a PsyD at Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2016. Brett is a school psychologist for the New Jersey Department of Education where he has worked for more than 10 years serving the deaf and hearing-impaired. Victor Ontaneda '07 is branch manager for Next Level Administrators in Orlando, Florida. He is responsible for overseeing branch operations, providing a local presence for NLA customers, and managing multiple jurisdictions. Thomas Roberto '08 has been named to the 2017 Super Lawyers New Jersey Rising Stars list. Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers, and Thomas is one of 2.5 percent of young New Jersey attorneys who received the honor. Kendahl Shortway '08 graduated with honors from Kean University's doctoral program in clinical and school psychology and will work there as assistant professor in its Department of Advanced Studies. She will also continue to do clinical work at a private practice.
