47 '70s Thomas DeVito '71 was inducted into the Mercer County (New Jersey) Soccer Hall of Fame last spring. Wrestling official Max Calehuff '73 was inducted into The National Wrestling Hall of Fame's California chapter. Max has worked in the deaf and hard of hearing program at Oster School in Santa Clara County (California) for the past 30 years. Jeffrey "Smokey" Bishop '75, MEd '87 retired after 41 years of teaching industrial arts to special education students from Manchester Township (New Jersey) at the Regional Day School at Jackson. Photographer Lorraine Raywood '76 exhibited new works in her solo show, Solebury in Symmetry, at MUSE Gallery in Philadelphia. Inspired by her natural surroundings, Lorraine creates transcendent images by arranging photographs symmetrically. Stephen Bovino '77 has been named superintendent for the Kenmore-Tonawanda (New York) School District. Prior to becoming superintendent, he had been assistant superintendent for human resources for nine years. The Bridgewater-Raritan (New Jersey) school district honored Diane "Dee" Dispenziere Memoli '79, MA '06 for her 34 years of teaching, 29 of which were in the district. Dee retired and will soon move to George- town, Delaware. Helene Wasielewski Plank '79 and husband William '79 each won awards at the West Windsor (New Jersey) Art Council's member exhibit last spring. Helene's mixed media Variegated Dahlia won third place and Bill's acrylic painting Birth won second place. Helene and Bill also started a business, Plank Art Designs, LLC, to promote and sell Bill's paintings and Helene's jewelry, crocheting, and knit work. '80s and '90s American Legion Post 211 chose Joseph Myers '83 as its grand marshal for the Sayreville (New Jersey) 2017 Memorial Day parade. Nancy Washington '86 is senior vice president and general counsel at New Jersey Resources and is responsible for developing and directing the corporate legal function and overseeing corporate compliance. Prior to joining NJR, Nancy had been senior vice president and chief litigation counsel for CIT Group, Inc. Dawn Martin Montecalvo '87 is president and chief executive officer of the Guadalupe Center, an organization committed to providing children of Immokalee, Florida, access to high-quality, innovative academic and special support programs. The center's core programs provide more than 1,000 children the hope of a prosperous and productive life. Joseph Soulias '87 is detective supervisor for the Morris County (New Jersey) Prosecutor's Office. Joseph formerly served as lieutenant in the New Jersey State Police and also worked in the Morris County Sheriff's Office. Joseph will assist in the supervision of the financial crime, insurance fraud, and arson/environmental units in the specialized crime division. Douglas Schorpp '89 received a certificate of appreciation from the National Financial Educators Council for improving the financial capabilities of people in the community and for important contributions to the financial literacy movement. The award recognized his 10 years of experience in presenting college planning workshops throughout New Jersey. Caroline Klepper Ciraolo '90 joined Kostelanetz & Fink, LLP, a New York-based law firm, as a partner and founder of the firm's new Washington, D.C., office. She will focus on complex civil tax controver- sies. She had been the head of the U.S. Department of Justice's Tax Division. Sally Steele Hoben '90, a certified school nurse at Bound Brook (New Jersey) High School, has been recognized as one of 10 Somerset County Outstanding Women for her contribution to the field of medicine. Thomas Kiesche '90 released his third novel, Park Ranger Park. By way of special election, Kerry Mitchell Minervini '91 will represent Ward 6 on the Marietta City (Georgia) School Board. She was sworn in by Chief Justice P. Harris Hines of the Georgia State Supreme Court in April. Michael Fabey '92 published his first book Crashback: The Power Clash Between the U.S. and China in the Pacific. In the book's acknowledgments, Michael said if not for the journalism classes taken under the guidance of the late Dr. Robert Cole, professor of English, he never would have enjoyed the career he has had — or landed such a solid book deal.
