I liked holding and re-reading news in letters from my hometown that seemed so much more personal than what email brings us today. When I look at the Jersey Shore, I feel a similar nostalgia. The shore photos ["The Trouble with Sandy"] took me back to Asbury Park, where my entire family enjoyed summer vacations with so many happy memories. No one, including me, wants the shore to go away (as we remember it) and so we try to forget what's happening now to rising sea levels. We put our heads in the sand so we can't see the negative happening. Perhaps the Jersey Shore will still be around in the future, but set a few miles inland, while new generations will look back in history books and gaze at a photo of an old post office and wonder how it worked—or even why. SANDRA LEE (KUTZ) ROEDER '62 BROWER MAKEOVER The large 25-foot-wide screen has been installed in the Brower Student Center Event Room. Soon: the 7.1 surround sound system TCNJ Media and Technology Support Services CLASS OF 1940 It was a real treat for this 97-year-old alumna to see my letter about the antics of Charlotte Hills Linthicum '40 and myself at Amateur Night in print. One of the "wild" things some of the lads did near Christmas was to add bows of holly to Decker Hall. And we also made Time as the U.S.'s worst college football team! I look forward to your magazine. TCNJ has come a long way since the Class of 1940. MAY HESTON HILTEBEITEL '40 POKÉMON GO I discovered today that @TCNJ's library is a Pokémon Gym. Like, okay Nintendo, I get it. I should go to the library more often than I do Catherine Killian @xocatx33 I MOVE TO TCNJ A MONTH FROM TODAY. I'M READY TO EAT FIRE AND DANCE THE HORAH @hanconroy
