9 Syeda L. Woods graduated from TCNJ's Educational Leadership Program in August of 2006 and now works as an elementary school principal at John Fenwick Academy in Salem, NJ. Some of the most significant things she feels she learned in the program are as follows: how to deal with the personal challenges an administrator may face; knowledge of the differing demographics amongst school districts; supporting marginal teachers in their pedagogical approach to teaching; and budgeting, all of which aides her in the day to day functioning of her current position. Syeda received her undergraduate degree from TCNJ and, because of her great experience, returned for graduate school. She notes that TCNJ provides students with a challenging education that pushes them to be prepared and capable professionals. While in the Ed Leadership program, Syeda enjoyed the close relationships she developed with her professors and cohort. The bond between professors and peers were remarkable. To this day, she still keeps in touch with many of them.
