Dr. Connie Kartoz is an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing. She holds a Master's degree in Nursing from Old Do- minion University and a Ph.D. from Seton Hall Uni- versity. She teaches in the both the graduate and undergraduate nursing programs. This year she is teaching Advanced Patho- physiology, Undergradu- ate Pharmacology and Primary Care of Women and Adolescents. Her research interests include: simulation activi- ties, especially in the area of communication for both graduate and under- graduate students; fami- lies with older adults; and reproductive health con- cerns for women with sys- temic lupus eythemato- sus. She is currently en- gaged in a qualitative phenomenological study exploring the lived experi- ence of adult children who have aging parents. Dr. Kartoz is a certified family nurse practitioner and currently practices as an APN at The Rheumatol- ogy Center of Princeton. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the Geronto- logical Society of America, Eastern Nursing Research Society, American Acade- my of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Association. She is a Rob- ert Wood Johnson Foun- dation/New Jersey Nurse Initiative Scholar. Dr. Connie Kartoz—Graduate Coordinator of Nursing for 6 months as an under- graduate and is an avid language learner. Her passion is fusing her busi- ness skills with interna- tional education initia- tives. She lives in Ewing and spends her spare time running, cooking, learning Polish, and trying to re- member the names of works by Rodin and de Kooning. She loves half- marathons, hiking, choco- late, dogs, BBQ's, reading, and planning her next travel destination. Her weaknesses include gua- camole, bacon, and blue- berry pancakes. Kate McKinley—Program Assistant, Off-Site Graduate Programs Kate is new to the TCNJ professional family this spring. She earned her B.S. in Business Admin- istration from TCNJ in 2011 and will finish her M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from Rider Uni- versity in May 2015.
