Assume all alarms – fire, smoke, and carbon monoxide – are real (see sec on 20) 4 Building and Department coordinators need to ensure that everyone has evacuated the building 5 Follow appropriate/safe fire drill routes. Take alterna ve route if necessary 6 Do not re-enter buildings un l declared safe by emergency personnel Persons with special needs should dial 9-1-1 in an emergency situa on and iden fy themselves, their special needs, and their exact loca on. This will help responders in providing rescue assistance. Faculty/Staff should ensure that persons with special needs are given assistance.
