General Guidelines General Guidelines <> In an emergency situa on, do the following: 1 Assess the situa on 2 Address life-threatening issues (first aid, vic m safety, physical surroundings, etc.) 3 Call Campus Police (ext. 2345/9-1-1) immediately 4 Provide "status" informa on 5 Verify/Check Informa on 6 Follow emergency procedures 7 Warn students/others, if advised 8 Keep detailed notes of crisis event 9 Refer media to appropriate designee or College Rela ons 10 Defini ons to be aware of: Evacua on: Safely and efficiently leaving an area of threat or risk, to a designated "safe" loca on (sec on 20) Shelter-in-Place: Taking cover in the loca on you are currently in; secure your own area.
