A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT Dear Members of the Campus Community, Please take a moment to review this important material about TCNJ's efforts and experience in the areas of campus security and safety. While we are gratified that our safety record is so good, TCNJ's goal is not merely to have good statistics to report, but also to create an environment where all community members feel comfortable in reporting concerns and everyone knows that a safe community is the result of broad involvement and the result of the entire campus working together. TCNJ's Office of Campus Police Services has been proactive in promoting safety and preventing crime on our campus, establishing a number of outreach programs designed to protect and educate members of the campus community. e Office of Campus Police Services is committed to making continuous improvements in campus security and safety, and recently formed a Public Safety Advisory Council consisting of faculty, staff and students, to aid in that effort. I ask that you, as a member of this campus community, continue to cooperate with our Campus Police and to assist them in preventing and responding to crime on campus. I encourage you to be an active member of the college community. If you have any questions or would like more information regarding campus safety and security, please contact the Office of Campus Police Services administrative offices at 609.771.2171. Sincerely, R. Barbara Gitenstein President e College of New Jersey
