43 Class Notes SUMMER 2026 End of a Lion line There has been a Shaffer at TCNJ since 2015: First Devon '19, then Erin '21, and Owen '26. The siblings took advantage of all TCNJ had to offer both in their classes and out. Devon and Owen were marketing majors while Erin was criminology. All three made fond memories in Greek Life: Erin and Devon were Kappa Delta sisters, and Owen found his friends at Sigma Alpha Epsilon. The trio have appreciated the continued excuse to go back to campus and often rub their shared experiences in to a fourth sibling who chose a different path. It's the end of an era, though, as Owen graduated in May. "I can't believe the last of the Shaffers is now a TCNJ alum, too," says Erin. — Kara Pothier WE LOVE OUR LEGACY LIONS Please share the TCNJ experiences that have been passed on through the generations of your family at magazine@tcnj.edu. Devon '19, Owen '26, and Erin '21 Shaffer A father and son brotherhood TCNJ provided me and my son, Robert Jr. '19, with excellent educations, and we both developed lifelong friendships with people we met there. As a Lion, I was active in the Phi Alpha Delta fraternity. It was a proud moment for me, knowing my son was going to TCNJ — and even prouder when he told me he had decided to pledge Phi Alpha Delta. I knew he would benefit from this experience. I attended several of his pledging events with one of my own pledge brothers and had a great time. A recent family highlight was my son's marriage to his TCNJ sweetheart, Nicole Howard Klemt '19. Many TCNJ and Phi Alpha Delta alumni were there to celebrate. We both fondly remember our individual experiences as well as the events we shared. — Bob Klemt '81
