Skin in the game
"The helmet — that was the hard part," says
Matt Beym, assistant director of athletics for
equipment, of creating football's retro uniforms worn
during the 2025 homecoming game (see page 48).
Each lid got a custom-fitted, newly designed skin
to slip over the hard shell.
