23 FALL 2025 " LEFT ALONE ONE WEEKEND iN 1978 by my friends from Decker 2, I had a lot of time on my hands. Being the artist that I was, I spontaneously decided to paint a mural on the wall next to my room. It featured Billy Joel (who we all loved) in noirish black and white with the words from one of my favorite songs, "Summer, Highland Falls." Needless to say, when my friends came back they were surprised. After I graduated in 1980, I visited and saw other murals that materialized on that floor. One was of Bruce Springsteen, another of The Beatles. So maybe I started a trend."— Mary Nims Barnett '80 " MY DAUGHTER iS A STUDENT AT TCNJ and sent me a picture of my mural, still there from my freshman year in 1995, of Winnie the Pooh and friends!" — Jaime Richmann D'Antonio '99
