43 Class Notes SPRING 2025 Stacey Palant '94, a speech-language therapist at Princeton (New Jersey) High School, presented at the 2025 New Jersey Speech-Language-Hearing Association Convention. Her talk, Enhancing Classroom Collaboration: Push-In Strategies for Speech-Language Specialists, focused on ways to support student success. Matthew Picerno '95, who is assigned to the United States Naval Hospital in Sigonella, Sicily, was selected as the 2024 Navy Civilian of the Year for that command. Picerno is a clinical and child psychologist. Mary Brashier '99 is the vice president of the Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce. A former teacher at the Village Charter School and self-employed as a family manager, she is running for mayor of New Hope Borough. '00s Bloomfield (New Jersey) Education Foundation named assistant super- intendent of schools Joseph Fleres '03 as Educator of the Year. Jennifer Boutros '04 was promoted to assistant director of stewardship and donor relations at TCNJ. "I am so thankful for the experience that TCNJ has offered me as a student, alumna, and employee," she says. Kimberly Westervelt '04 earned a doctorate in educational leadership from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. She is principal of West Essex High School in North Caldwell, New Jersey. Caryn Feder '08 is a sixth-grade English teacher at Cresthaven Academy in Plainfield, New Jersey. She was staff member of the month in November. Elizabeth Lagerstrom '08 is an account manager at ICF, a global consulting firm that works with utilities across the United States. She works with energy efficient programs for New York- and New Jersey-based utilities, including Rockland Electric Company. Lauren Zink '09 is a partner in the New York City office of Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker. TCNJ Magazine is especially honored to report that Angeles Melesio '20 wed Louis Mendoza '20 on October 24, 2024. We met Angeles and Louis in the lobby of Travers- Wolfe in 2017 ( bottom left) when they showed up for a photo shoot for a feature about the Class of 2020. We highlighted them again in 2020 ( bottom right) as they graduated and embarked on careers in the heart of the pandemic. Cheers to a true TCNJ love story.
