2 The College of New Jersey Magazine A COUPLE OF NOTES Carl '93 and Jackie '88 Gibbs were such a beautiful and humble couple when we were at TCNJ together. Loved seeing their story ("Giving all they got," winter 2025) and knowing they are still together and doing so much for the college community. MYRA MILBOURNE-WASHINGTON '88 It has been an honor to be both a teacher and a friend to Jackie. Her dedication to the college, the state of New Jersey, society, and the business industry has been enormous. LYNN BRAENDER '81 " THANK YOU CARL AND JACKIE FOR SERVING AS EXCELLENT EXAMPLES OF LEADERSHIP. " — DEMARCO SMALLS '97 My wife and I had the pleasure of witnessing the relationship of this beautiful couple blossom on campus. They always carried themselves with dignity and respect. We're very proud to call them our friends, and we know our school is in great hands. KYLE ANDERSON '91 STITCH IN TIME I enjoyed the memory of Emily Sinkleris '28 (Legacy, winter 2025) being influenced by an image of Green Hall that her parents, James '98 and Lisa '98, had in their home. Emily's grandmother was a dear friend of mine and I cross-stitched that picture as a wedding gift for James and Lisa. What a wonderful family they are, and I love knowing that I'm a part of the story. CARLEE CLIPSHAM MOLESAN '72 TALK UP A JET-SETTING 'ZINE Michael Boutros '01 took his family (and TCNJ Magazine!) to the Malecón boardwalk in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. L to R: Michael, his son Joseph, daughter Penelope, and wife Jessica. Please take the latest edition on your summer vacation and drop us a photo at magazine@tcnj.edu. LASTING LEGACIES Your story on Nick Sacco '25 was great ("How I Got Here," winter 2025). He is a triple-stud for sure. My wife and I were captains of the TSC gymnastics team in 1966–67. We're now living in the Florida sun and remain proud of the college's athletics programs. NICK AND BECKY ALISE '67 THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES Professor Neil Gaston (Remembrance, winter 2025) had an impact on my family in the best possible way. I grew up with his sons, Jeff and Drew, and remember him as a Volkswagen Squareback-driving father, a little league coach, and devout Philadelphia Phillies fan. He often fought with a stubborn push mower in a manner that would make John McEnroe cover his eyes. His passion for teaching was strong, and his love for TCNJ was boundless. MICHAEL HAINES '92
