5 WINTER 2025 L to R: Lisa '98, Emily '28, and James '98 Sinkleris. — LEGACY — The charm of TCNJ Growing up, my parents James and Lisa Sinkleris '98 had an embroidered picture of Green Hall on one of the walls of our home. I remember staring at it and thinking it looked so important and fancy. My parents told me that they went to school there, and that they met in Norsworthy Hall. A few years after they graduated, my dad took my mom back to campus and led her to the three old wooden benches under a tree just outside Norsworthy and that is where he proposed to her. My parents encouraged me to forge my own path and set my own goals. They never wanted to make me feel like I had to follow in their footsteps. But when I did my own college search, I kept comparing the schools I toured to TCNJ. I fell absolutely in love with the campus's charm. I felt like I belonged there. I am currently living in Norsworthy Hall and I am lucky that every day, I get to walk by the same wooden benches where my parents got engaged. — Emily Sinkleris '28 Try this open-book quiz — all the answers are in this issue.
