A hero's home TCNJ's Emergency Operations Center in room 103 of the Administrative Services Building has been dedicated to John Collins, chief of campus police from 2008 to 2016. Collins established the college's critical incident team, and the EOC serves as central command in the event of a large-scale emergency on campus. 5. His name is on the flame Being lead designer of packaging for the iconic toy Hot Wheels comes with some serious perks. Just ask Matt Gabe '05, who created an original car, the Kei Swap. Gabe designed the car cast, named the vehicle, and crafted the package artwork. 6. Big-screen credits Sorraya Brashear-Evans '16 created visual effects for Omni Loop, a sci-fi drama about time travel starring Mary Louise Parker and Ayo Edebiri. 7. Wonder woman Bloomberg News senior editor Stacie Sherman '96 was a Woman of Inspiration by the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce for her work to create economic opportunities in the Garden State. Sherman is also an adjunct professor of business journalism at the college. 8. A helping hand The SHOP@TCNJ, a campus food pantry to help those facing food insecurity, got a boost from Governor Phil Murphy's Hunger-Free Campus initiative. The grant funds will be used to increase staff, replenish stock, and purchase additional equipment, such as a freezer, a commercial refrigerator, and a microwave, all for storing and preparing food on-site. The rock band Neon Trees played the College Union Board's fall concert on November 12.
