John Flynn '15 wed Melanie Pang on August 8, 2024. '40s Minerva Owen Ward '47 celebrated her 99th birthday in September with a trip to Las Vegas, her favorite vacation spot. She followed that with a cruise to Bermuda. '60s and '70s Joan A. Dietrich '61 retired as a computer systems designer. She and her husband of 63 years now enjoy traveling and spending time with their eight grandchildren. Michael Grecco '64, a retired Piscataway (New Jersey) High School teacher, is the captain and owner of the Westwind charter boat, which sails from the Leonardo State Marina in Middletown, New Jersey. Grecco has been fishing in the Sandy Hook area for more than 45 years. Mary Ann '66, MA '72 and John '67, MEd '77 Vanderveer became proud great-grandparents to Emmalou Kathleen Gordon, born May 16, 2024. Patricia Smith '67 has been a master gardener with the Georgia-based Towns- Union Master Gardener Association for a decade. The association's goal is to preserve, protect, and beautify local areas with native plants, shrubs, and trees. Gary Hindley '69, a soccer coach for 53 years, was inducted into the Mercer County (New Jersey) Soccer Hall of Fame. Susan Hibbard '70 published her first novel, Foxmoor Manor: A Highland Romance. Set in Scotland, it explores the theme of finding happiness in an emotional time. What's up? 1
