43 Class Notes WINTER 2024 TCNJ LEGACY This sister and brother pair are picture-perfect in their Lions pride. I wanted to share these photos of me and my brother, Joe Pirrera '19. We took the original one together outside the Education Building on my graduation day. Four years later, we re-created the same photo on Joe's graduation day. Joe and I were pretty inseparable growing up, but Joe said he didn't want to go to TCNJ initially because he thought it would seem like he wanted to copy me. But he heard about the friends I made, my classes, and the activities I was involved in. He decided to apply, and I was thrilled for him when he was accepted. Although we didn't attend at the same time, it means the world to me that we both share amazing TCNJ memories. A golden pair Anthony '74 and Christine '74 Giunta celebrated their 50th Anniversary on August 18. The two have known each other since they were 6 years old. Their mothers met as hospital roommates when their sisters were born and the families remained friends over the years. Tony asked Christine out when they were 17 and the rest is history. Tony didn't start at TCNJ but transferred from NJIT in his sophomore year. "We got married in the summer of 1973 between junior and senior years," says Christine. "I can't imagine kids doing that today." Golfing for a cause Friends of John P. Monaghan '88 met at the Seaview Golf Club in Atlantic City, New Jersey, for the third annual golf outing held in his memory.
