Canton provides several endowed scholarships to TCNJ engineering students. A lifelong aviation enthusiast, including time as a commercial pilot, he still enjoys flying his personal plane. '50s and '60s Yassin El-Ayouty '53 was named legal counsel for the Mission of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations. El-Ayouty is a former U.N. political director. Nancy Boucher '57 received a doctor of letters degree from Kean University. Composer Sandra Evans '62 owns a music studio where she teaches classical, jazz, popular, and Broadway music to piano and voice students. She is also president of a piano teachers' group that showcases student performers in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Virginia Asman '63 coordinates exhibits at two nonprofit art galleries, one in New York and one in New Mexico. Carol '63 and Robert Ritter '64, MS '68 received the 2022 Sally Stretch Keen Memorial Library community service award for 50 years of dedication to Southampton, New Jersey, including volunteer work for the Historical Society and Vincentown Garden Club.
