11 Prairie FALL 2021 Home, sweet home TCNJ welcomes back all of its pride. BILL CARDONI Students kicked off their fall 2021 classes on August 31, creating a palpable buzz around campus. With the college fully opened for the first time in a year and a half, the day marked a welcome return to the traditional TCNJ experience. Long lines at the bookstore, students taking back-to-school selfies in front of Trenton Hall, and the brassy clap of the pep band echoing from Lions Stadium were all good signs that maybe, just maybe, we are getting back to normal. And while the college continues to address the ever- changing needs of the pandemic, including mandatory COVID-19 vaccines and face coverings to combat the Delta variant, there is hope that the sorely-missed energy and campus harmony will remain. "Every new school year is exciting," says TCNJ president Kathryn Foster. "This one seems more so as we reconnect with one another and return to the fulfillments of living, working, and learning together." — David Pavlak
