44 The College of New Jersey Magazine '80s and '90s Donna Aromando '83 won the 2020 Sport Powerlifting New Jersey State Championship and tied for the championship in 2021. Aromando holds two state records in the squat and deadlift categories. Alena Baldwin-Brown '86 retired from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, where she served as communica- tions manager in the water monitoring and standards division. Gene Lanzoni '86 is a deacon at The Church of Saint Ann in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. Nancy Stafford '87 serves as chair of the international law section of the American Bar Association. Thomas Smith '89, MAT '93, MEd '01 is the superintendent of the Pennsbury (Pennsylvania) School District. Robinette Brown '90 retired as a senior special agent from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of Inspector General. Tom McCarthy '90 won the Robert F. Casciola Distinguished American Award from the Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Football Foundation. Stacy Holland '92 is the executive director of the Philadelphia School Partnership, a nonprofit organization that raises money for Philadelphia charter, private, and traditional public schools. Christina Smith Rodek '92 earned recognition as New Jersey Parent Teacher Association Outstanding Teacher of the Year for 2020–2021. Rodek is a third-grade teacher at Apshawa Elementary School in West Milford, New Jersey. Who's in the photo? 1.
