MEMORIES THAT STUCK I enjoyed "Looking Back/Mementos" (Fall 2020). One of my scariest memo- ries was signing up for classes in the fall of 1965. We were presented with a huge board listing the available courses. As we filled out our course list, classes were closing. That's how I wound up with 8 a.m., 6 p.m., and Saturday classes as a freshman. I got better at it! LINDA SCHIROS DEANE '69 I have a suggestion for a future Looking Back feature: Pranks played during Greek pledge season are so memorable and would be a very fruitful topic. Keep up the good work, your magazine is so well done! BETTY SCHMITT BUSCH '67 Editor's note: Great idea, Betty! To you and all our alumni readers, please share your pledge pranks and we'll publish them in a future issue. Congrats to Jeanne Pfaff Cappello '66, our Fall 2020 quiz winner. The Swahili word for sorry is pole. ❏ T or ❏ F I was a writer and columnist for The Signal from 1973–75. I've kept a stack of issues from those years. Notice the men- ingitis outbreak headline. It required large-scale immunization on campus. You might say that for those who were TSC students in this time frame, the upcoming COVID-19 immunizations "ain't our first rodeo."
