40 The College of New Jersey Magazine '90s Veldon Harris '90 retired from the Mercer County (New Jersey) Prosecutor's Office as chief of detectives. Harris was the first African American to serve as chief. As CEO of Urvin.Compliance, Bill Stephenson '93 teamed up with Plato Partnership to launch PLIA by Plato, a European trading platform that allows traders and compliance professionals to easily document their trading practices. Lamont Repollet '94 became president of Kean University (New Jersey) in July. Repollet was previously the New Jersey Commissioner of Education ("The Commish," Spring 2020). Elaine Rocha '95 started a new job as chief of staff to the president of American International Group, a global insurance company. Joseph Casale '97 started his PhD in public policy – national security policy at Liberty University (Virginia). Casale has worked in the federal government, including the Department of Defense, for 20 years. Berkeley Heights (New Jersey) Public School Director of Special Education, Michele Gardner '97, MEd '07, was recognized as the New Jersey Special Education Administrator of the Year. Chris Kaefer '98 joined Mission Realty as a realtor sales associate. Kaefer has been investing in, rehabbing, and flipping properties throughout New Jersey for more than 20 years. Robert Colavita Jr. MAT '99 has been elected to serve as president-elect of the New Jersey Association of School Business Officials. 3 6 7 8 1 2 9 Who's in the photo? 1. Brandon Pugh '15 wed Linnea Larson on April 25. 4. Krystin Peitz '15 wed Jed Plester '14 on Oct. 11, 2019. 5. Michael Fiorella '02 and his wife, Nichole, welcomed daughter Brooklynn Eileen on Dec. 2, 2019. 6. Dana Landesman '13, MA '16 wed Leigh Green on Sept. 1, 2019. 7. Veronica Pardo '07 and her husband, Eli, welcomed son Zackary David on March 25. 8. Hannah Pagán '11 wed Eric Welty on Sept. 1, 2019. 9. Chad '09 and Lauren Ficara '10 welcomed son Ronan Forde on April 18. He joins big sister Maeve and brother Donovan. '80s The Ocean City (New Jersey) Fire Department said goodbye to Deputy Chief Steve Costantino '86, who retired after 25 years of service. Lucky for the department, it still has fellow TCNJ alumnus Charles Bowman '86 as a deputy chief. Bowman has been with the department for 35 years. The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants named Theresa Hinton '86 chief operating officer. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis appointed Richard J. Montecalvo '86 to the Judicial Nominating Commission.
