Victoria Swift '14, MAT '15 wed Matthew Grapstul '15 on Dec. 13. The two met just prior to their freshman
year at a summer session for Educational Opportunity Fund students. Each credits Jamal Johnson '01, the
college's senior assistant director for mentoring and retention, for recruiting them to TCNJ. So they decided it
was only fitting that Johnson, also a reverend, officiate their wedding ceremony. Johnson says it's not his habit
to marry students. "This was a special case," he says. "I was honored they thought of me."

"their bench" near Lake Ceva.
