16 Tip-Top SHAPE Jordan Paton '19 received the "Major of the Year" award from the Society of Health and Physical Educators for her outstanding achievements as an undergraduate health and physical education major. Paton was the New Jersey student representative at the statehouse for the signing of the Recess Bill in August 2018, and she's been published multiple times in her discipline's top scholarly publication, the Journal of Physical Education, Recreation & Dance. NURSING, HEALTH, AND EXERCISE SCIENCE SCHOOL OF CLASS OF 2018 AVERAGE STARTING SALARY $65,149 STUDENT ENROLLMENT 781 MAJORS Health and exercise science Nursing Public health White Coat Celebration Nursing department faculty presented 61 sophomore nursing students with white lab coats at the fourth annual White Coat Ceremony — a rite of passage that officially welcomes students into the nursing profession. NextGen MPH TCNJ's new Master of Public Health program welcomed its first cohort of 15 students in fall 2018. Drawing on expertise from all seven schools, the MPH degree is a comprehensive, interdisciplinary program that provides students with the knowledge and skills to protect and improve family and community health in the rapidly changing public health landscape.
