I was part of the first TCNJ class to go on Professor Michelle Tarter's trip to Harlaxton, England, in 2004. It was a life-altering experience. I had always wanted to travel, but never had the opportunity nor means. I was able to fully meander to my heart's content. I will always remain grateful for the experience because I learned so much about myself during that one summer. JESSICA GILL '06 The beautifully written article, "My Tumultuous Senior Year," by Constance Alexander '68 (Fall 2018) captured the importance of study-abroad programs. Her experiences were life-changing from a personal growth standpoint, as well as broadening her understanding of the impact of world events on her life. Current students Spring 2005, University of Melbourne, Australia: I slept under the stars in the Outback and went scuba diving near the Great Barrier Reef. I saw Steve Irwin wrestle crocodiles. I met kangaroos, Tasmanian devils — and a roommate who would become a lifelong friend. KELLY MEISBERGER DEPSEE '06 have many global engagement opportunities at TCNJ. Every student won't have the same dramatic experience that Ms. Alexander did, but they will have an expanded, more realistic understanding of the world in which they live.
