45 SPRING 2019 Elizabeth Dorrity '11 wed Michael Melillo '12 on Aug. 25. Kristin Sowden '10 and Adam Lindberg: twins Luke Edward and Olivia Grace, on Aug. 30. '80s and '90s Nancy Cathers Demme '81 published her novel The Ride in February through Stephen F. Austin State University Press. Kathy Tester Diringer '83 formed the East Coast Masters Diving Club in 2011, a nonprofit springboard diving club. The club's annual masters diving invitational, held at TCNJ, is the largest in the U.S. and has hosted divers from California, Canada, Missouri, and the entire East Coast. Cary Shill '85 is first assistant prosecutor for Atlantic County, New Jersey. Mark E. Talbot '85 retired from director of auditing at the State of New Jersey Department of Human Services after more than 34 years of service. Talbot began his career with DHS as an intern, a position he landed with the help from the career services office at what was then Trenton State College. Dominic Pettinelli '89 teaches at Easton (Pennsylvania) Area High School. He is a teacher of diversified occupations, a cooperative work program where students take classes and earn credit for working. He previously taught at Franklin (New Jersey) High School. '60s and '70s Nicholas Bruno '65 retired from his position as adjunct professor at Rowan University where he supervised student teachers and taught education courses for the last 13 years. He previously retired as the director of administrative services for the Bloomfield (New Jersey) Public Schools in 2005. Constance Alexander '68 is in her second term as president of the governing board of the Kentucky Historical Society. She recently published From Cradle to Grace, a book of poems about women and caregiving, through Finishing Line Press. The Soccer Coaches Association of New Jersey inducted Jack Bell '69 into its Hall of Fame in March. Bell has coached all three Hamilton Township high school soccer teams, winning a state championship at West, the first sectional title in school history at Nottingham, and a Mercer County tournament crown at Steinert. Daniel J. Benedetto '76 retired as principal of Collings Lakes (New Jersey) Elementary School after 42 years with the Buena Regional School District. Carolyn Hassenkamp Wright '06 and husband, Rob '03: a son, Alexander Paul, on Sept. 24. Invest in a future. Open a door. Kick-start a discovery.
