45 WINTER 2019 Tyhesha Elmore '98 joined The Pennington School's Cervone Center for Learning, where she teaches communication skills. Tiffany Michael '98, a language arts and science teacher at Crossett Brook Middle School in Duxbury, Vermont, received the Outstanding Teacher Award from the University of Vermont. The statewide award recognized her positive classroom demeanor. Hill International, Inc., the global leader in managing construction risk, announced David D. Sgro '98 as chairman of the company's board of directors. '00s Carrie Ballester '04 is business performance director for Lockheed Martin Corporation. In this position, Ballester supports the general manager and is responsible for program performance. Donna O'Donnell Figurski '04 released her book, Prisoners Without Bars, which focuses on her journey as a caregiver for her husband, who suffered a traumatic brain injury. Law firm Norris McLaughlin hired Michael J. Wise '09 as an associate in its Morristown, New Jersey office. Wise previously served two judicial clerkships in the New Jersey Superior Court and served in the New Jersey Army National Guard. '10s Robin Deehan '10, sports anchor for WBRE in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, won a 2018 Emmy award for Best Sportscast for her coverage of high school football. Jordan Calderone '15 works for PNC Bank as a client and community relations specialist. Jillian Santacroce '15 anchors the local news for NBC affiliate WVVA in Bluefield, West Virginia. Julie Kayzerman '16 is a social media and public relations coordinator for Fairleigh Dickinson University. Kayzerman also earned her master's degree in sports administration at the university. Olivia Michael '16 anchors the evening news for CBS Local 18 News in Panama City Beach, Florida. Daniel Spinelli '18 helped to develop "Our Trenton Roots," a permanent history exhibit that opened in October in Trenton Hall. Spinelli worked with former TCNJ President Harold Eickhoff to write the narrative about Eickhoff's impact on the college. '60s and '70s Rose Mary Sheldon '69 published her latest book, Kill Caesar!: Assassination in the Early Roman Empire. Sheldon, a U.S. colonel and intelligence officer, holds the Henry King Burgwyn, Jr., Chair in Military History at the Virginia Military Institute. The U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs named Peggy Campbell-Rush '76 a Fulbright specialist. In this role, she pairs highly qualified U.S. academics and professionals with host institutions abroad to share their expertise and strengthen overseas connections. Bruce Brown '77 retired after 40 years as an electrical engineer. Brown was an engineering manager with Northrop Grumman Corporation in Redondo Beach, California, where he worked with the NASA James Webb Space Telescope, which is due to launch in 2021. '80s and '90s Andy McDade '84 won the 2018 Parthenon Award from the Association of College and University Housing Officers–International. The award recognizes outstanding collegiate housing professionals for their service, leadership, and contributions to the housing field. Janie Hanson-Ernstrom '87 teaches obstetrics at the Denver College of Nursing as an adjunct instructor in Denver, Colorado. Chayna Wilson '90 received the Agape Award for her volunteer work with Alpha Sigma Alpha. Wilson has volunteered regionally as a province director, recruitment team member, and district liaison for the advisory board, and has served on the national individual awards project team for 13 years. Michael C. Zalot '94 is director of the MBA program at Cedar Crest College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Zalot's latest academic research article about the narrative experience of video games appeared in The Atlantic Journal of Communication. Lori Alhadeff '97, whose daughter died in the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, won a seat on the school board of Broward County, the sixth largest district in the country.
