The only School of Science academic department not located in this quad is computer science, which is housed in the STEM Building. Outdoor spaces, like Lake Ceva, the fountain, and the Golden Spiral, form impromptu classrooms. Majors Biology* Chemistry* Computer science Mathematics* Statistics Physics* * Also available as a dual BS/MD through our 7-year Medical Program TCNJ is recognized as a national leader in undergraduate research by the Council on Undergraduate Research. The Howard Hughes Medical Institute has recognized the school as an inclusive excellence institution in providing access and fostering success for all of our science students. More than 95 percent of our science students are employed or in graduate school within one year after graduation. This combination allows for seamless transition between computational, experimental, and analytical activities. The school's 27-inch telescope and extended-range camera allow students and faculty to achieve high- resolution, scientifically accurate images, and conduct high-resolution photometry and spectroscopy of a wide range of celestial objects. The High-Performance Scientific Computing Center strings together several hundred servers, and provides a platform for the intensive computing needs of student and faculty researchers. Big data, high- performance computing, graphic processing unit- based calculations and modeling, and virtualization? No problem. 13 Faculty-Student Collaborative Research Labs extend throughout all of our buildings. These rival those of much larger universities. The difference? You have the keys. Our modern labs and state-of-the art instrumentation are fully accessible to our undergraduates. Learn more: science.tcnj.edu School of Science
